Who Would Have Thought I’d Be the Winner?
Amber here — this is one of my favorite stories we’ve received from a customer. Velma wrote this herself after trying our beef through a giveaway, and we’re honored to share it here on the blog.
When I last left you, I had just ordered my first-ever 1/4 share of beef. I received it on May 21st, 2025, and let me tell you—halfway through that share, I realized something important: This was not going to last as long as I hoped.
Between my husband and I eating beef 2–3 times a day, it only lasted 79 days. On Day 80, we were out—and not happy about it. We were feeling so good! My joints no longer hurt, my leg cramps had stopped, and I hadn’t touched a Tylenol bottle in weeks.
Then… a light at the end of the tunnel.
I got an email saying I had won 10 pounds of ground beef from a ranch I’d been following—T Bar J Ranch, out of Montana.
I never win anything. So, naturally, I was skeptical. Was this some gimmick to get me to buy something else? A bait and switch?
I’m happy to report: There was no gimmick. No hook. No bait. Just beef.
📦 Delivery & First Impressions
My beef arrived on August 14th via UPS. Though the dry ice was gone, everything was still frozen solid. And inside the box? A few surprises:
- ✔️ Beef sticks
- ✔️ A jar of honey
- ✔️ A T Bar J Ranch hat (which my husband immediately claimed)
🥩 Taste Test: Ground Beef, Trail Sticks & Honey
The ground beef was delicious—clean, hearty, flavorful. But the real surprise? The beef sticks.
I expected gas station Slim Jim grease. I got… savory, dense bites that reminded me of a steak. One classic, one jalapeño cheese. Both were outstanding.
And the honey? Incredible. Smooth, not too sweet, with a flavor I couldn’t place. Amber later told me it was alfalfa blossom honey. Now I’m hooked.
💬 Final Thoughts
The beef was fantastic. But what really stood out was Amber’s personal touch — she updated me before shipping, confirmed when the box was delivered, and checked in after.
This is a real ranch, with real people who care.
I wholeheartedly recommend T Bar J Ranch.
