It Started With a Ribeye at Kim's House

It Started With a Ribeye at Kim's House

Sometimes I wonder... How does someone find our ranch?

Tucked down a dirt road in northern Stillwater County, Montana.

No storefront.

No big sign.

Just grass, cattle, and a family that's been here for generations.

And you know what we've learned?

A lot of times... it starts with one meal.

A friend invites someone over for supper.

A family member shares a package of beef.

Someone gets a taste.

And then they understand.

That's exactly what happened this week.

Kim has been filling her freezer with T Bar J beef.

She served ribeyes and burgers at her house.

No explaining. No convincing. Just supper.

Her friend tasted the difference.

"Unbelievable flavor and tenderness."

Those were the words she sent me.

And now she's getting her freezer ready for her first T Bar J beef share.

And that is the thing about good beef.

A ribeye fresh off the grill might be the first thing someone notices.

And I understand why.

A good ribeye is hard to forget.

But after families fill their freezer, we usually hear something else.

They love having a plan.

The ground beef waiting for taco night.

The roast ready for a Sunday afternoon.

The steaks saved for the grill.

The packages of beef they reach for on a busy Tuesday night.

Because a beef share isn't one meal.

It's months of meals.

And after a while, that freezer starts to change how you cook.

Kim fills her freezer with a 1/2 beef share.

And what means so much to us is that she trusts our beef enough to share it with people she cares about.

First, her brother-in-law, Paul, joined the T Bar J family with a 1/2 beef.

And now her friend is starting with a 1/8 beef share.

All because of a meal shared around the table.

That's pretty special.

Long before that ribeye ever hits the grill, there was grass to care for.

Water tanks to check.

Cattle to move.

And a whole lot of ordinary days on the ranch.

But those ordinary days are worth it when they turn into stories like this.

A meal at Kim's table.

A friend tasting beef raised here.

Another family joining the T Bar J.

That's why we do what we do.

If you've been thinking about filling your freezer this fall, now is a good time to start planning.

Whether that means starting with a 1/8 beef share or filling the freezer like Kim, we'd love to help you find what fits your family.

And that's probably the best part of this whole thing.

The beef doesn't stop when it leaves our ranch.

It keeps going.

To family dinners.

Backyard grills.

Friends gathered around a table.

And sometimes, it helps another family find us down this dirt road in Montana.

If you're new here, welcome to the T Bar J.

We're sure glad you found us.

And to those of you who have shared our beef with family and friends, thank you.

There's no greater compliment.

P.S. Be careful who you invite over for ribeyes. They might end up needing a freezer, too.
