We had lots going on this week.  And a long list to get done. Grab a chair and sit with me for a minute; you'll want to hear this.

 

This week, the cows got their exercise; we moved them two miles into fresh pasture. 

 

Thanks to the rain, the grass has regrown, and the herd appears healthy and well-fed.

 

But not everything is easy. We lost a calf that got its head stuck in a water tank while it filled with water, and the pasture we’re in now has a sinkhole, or as some call it, quicksand. Mud that has no bottom.  That’s life living close to Yellowstone Park.

 

And to top it off, the rattlesnakes are starting to den up for winter. We’ve seen two on the road by the house this week.

 

 Never a dull moment here. Still, we wouldn’t trade this life for anything, and we’re grateful you are part of the crew.
