It’s Labor Day weekend, and we’re celebrating the hard work that built this country, the land we love, and the freedom we have to raise beef (and pork) the right way.

 

The Pig Parade Rolled Out This Week

We’ve been loading boxes and coolers, and delivering pork shares all the way from Montana to Colorado, actually by way of Virginia.

 

It’s been a busy week of pork deliveries, and we're grateful to every family who made space in their freezer for pasture-raised pork from T Bar J.

 

And after we finish up our final pork shares locally this Saturday, we’ve got a pretty special stop.

 

 Our Son Will Be Flying an F-16 Over the Air Force Academy Stadium

It’s Parents' Weekend at the Academy, and just before kickoff, there’s always a flyover.

This year, one of those F-16s will be flown by our oldest son.

 

We’ve got two boys, and watching one of them roar overhead in front of that crowd…

Let’s just say this ranch mama will have tissues in her pocket and tears in her eyes.

We tested our hay bales this week.  We use those tests to make sure our cows will have the energy and protein they need this winter.
