They Showed Up Monday
If you felt that storm roll through last weekend… You weren’t alone.
That 90-day fog prediction showed up right on time—Friday into Saturday, we picked up about a foot of snow. Just enough to remind us winter isn’t quite done yet… even if the calendar says otherwise.

Then Tuesday hit.
Record winds.
The kind that don’t just rattle the windows—they move things. We had 1,000-gallon fiberglass water tanks flying across the prairie like frisbees. We’ve found three of ours so far relocated on their own… still checking on a couple more. One neighbor’s pickup water tanks—missing since the December windstorm—decided to reappear behind our butte this week.
No idea where it’s been hiding for the last three months.
That’s ranch life.

In between storms, we kept things moving.
Monday, we shipped beef and received our new batch of beef sticks—just in time.
Tuesday… well, between chasing tanks and holding onto our hats, we made it through.
And yesterday, before the wind picked up, a load of steer pellets rolled in—11 tons worth. That meant climbing the bins early to open the hatches before things got western again.

Midweek, I headed into town for something a little different…
We set up at Granite Health + Fitness and did a taste test of the new beef stick flavors.
Let me tell you—those samples didn’t last long.

It’s always fun watching people try them for the first time… especially when they don’t know what they’re getting into with the Ghost Pepper.
Some come back for seconds. Some reach for water. Some do both. But everyone liked them… and the new Jalapeño especially held its own.

And just in time for all of this…
Friday marks the first day of Spring.
We’ll see about that.
Around here, spring just means a different kind of weather surprise.
It's also National Ag Week.
I mentioned that at the gym, and one fellow thought I said Egg Week… and couldn’t quite figure out what that had to do with cows.
Fair question.
But it’s a good reminder—this whole way of life, from the cattle to the feed to the work behind it, doesn’t happen by accident.
We’re grateful to be a small part of it—and grateful you’re along for the ride with us.
We still need American farmers and ranchers.
These showed up Monday…

And today…
We’re introducing the new beef stick flavors. If you’ve been waiting to try them, this is your chance.
Al and Eb are especially excited to finally have Ghost Pepper and Jalapeño ready to go.
Thanks for sharing our week.
P.S. Ready to try them for yourself?
