Today We're Headed To Colorado

Today we're hitting the road.


The truck is fueled up.

 

The trailer is almost loaded.

 

Thousands of pounds of beef are frozen and ready to go.


It's one of our favorite days of the year.


When the sun comes up, we'll be done loading the truck and the trailer, and we'll head south.


First stop Cheyenne.


Then Fort Collins and south from there.


Some of the families we'll see tomorrow have been waiting seven months for this day.


Seven months ago, they reserved their beef.


Today, their freezers finally get filled.


There's a lot of anticipation on both ends of that delivery.

 


That's one of the things I love most about raising beef this way.


We don't just ship a box.


We get to shake hands.


Catch up on families.


Meet new babies.


Hear how last year's beef fed their family.


And sometimes welcome a brand-new T Bar J family because someone shared a steak, a hamburger, or a package of beef sticks.


That's pretty special.

 

 

This week, we also received another couple of wonderful notes from customers.


One family received their quarter beef this week and wrote:
