When Lunch Doesn't Happen
This week has been HOT. 108 degrees.
Â
I think everyone is still sweating.
Â
This week, our 4-H fair started.
Â
Those kids are working hard trying to keep themselves and their animals cool.
This week, your cut of the week is about fast, easy, and no need to start up the stove or grill. This week, three different customers told me almost the same thing.
Â
They don't know each other.
Â
They live in different places.
Â
But they all said, "Your beef sticks tide me over until lunch." Or "Sometimes they ARE lunch."
Â
When three different people tell you the same thing in one week, you start paying attention.
Â
Because that's exactly how families are using them.
Â
Not to replace a home-cooked supper.
Â
Just real ranch-raised beef...
Â
For the days when lunch gets pushed a little later than planned.
Â

Â
Just to have real ranch-raised beef ready when life gets busy.
Â
This week, our county fair is underway.
Â
It's been HOT, fair weather for sure.
Â
Over 100 degrees.
Â
Kids are showing livestock.
Â
Parents are helping.
Â
Volunteers are everywhere.
Â
It's one of those weeks when lunch happens whenever you can squeeze it in.
Â
A beef stick fits right in your pocket.
Â
No cooler.
Â
No cooking.
Â

Â
Just real food when you need it.
Â
One thing we've learned over the past few months...
Â
Not everyone likes spicy.
Â
Several families told us they wanted a variety pack without any spice.
Â
So we put one together.
Â
Family Favorites Variety Pack
Â
Original.
Â
Teriyaki.
Â
Just the two flavors families ask for again and again.
Â
Of course, if you like a little more adventure, our Trail Trio Heat Pack.
Â

Â
And Whole Herd Variety Packs are still ready to go.
Â
Whether you're headed to the county fair, working outside, traveling, or simply trying to make it to lunch, it's nice to have real food close by.
Find Your Favorite Beef Sticks
Â
Made in small batches from the same ranch-raised beef we proudly serve our own family.
Thanks for riding along with us.
Â
Stay cool this week, and if you're heading to the fair, cheer on those 4-H kids.
Â
They're working hard.
Â
P.S.  One more reminder. If you'd like a pork share this fall, please let me know by Wednesday.Â
Â
That helps us purchase the right number of pigs at Saturday's 4-H livestock sale while supporting these hardworking 4-H kids.
