You Asked About the Pig Parade
Last week, we had a few emails come in asking about the “Pig Parade.”
So I thought I’d start there.
We don’t raise pigs here on the ranch.

Instead, every July at our county 4-H fair, we buy pigs raised by local kids and their families.
These aren’t raised in large facilities.
They’re raised at home—fed, cared for, and shown by kids who have a lot of pride in what they’re doing.
It’s one of our favorite parts of the year.
Those pigs, just like our beef, go to Stillwater Packing for processing.
Same butcher. Same care.
From there, they become something pretty special.
Bacon, sausage, pork chops, roasts, ham… and the cottage bacon many of you already love.
Everything is organically cured—no shortcuts.
No nitrates. No guesswork.
Just like our beef, it’s food you can feel good about feeding your family.
And this is where it all comes together in the kitchen.
When your freezer is stocked—whether it’s beef, pork, or both—you’re not standing there at 5:00 wondering what’s for dinner.
You already have it.
A roast for Sunday.
Ground beef for quick meals.
Pork chops or steaks when you want something a little special.
That’s why so many families start with one and then add the other—it just makes life simpler.
We’ll share more next week about what’s included and how it works.
But for now, just know this—
When these pigs are spoken for, they’re gone until the next fair.
P.S. Between beef stick packs shipping this week—some headed to Georgia, Texas, and Florida—and the rest staying closer to home here in Montana, South Dakota, and Colorado, it’s been a busy one around here.
If you’ve been thinking about filling your freezer with bulk beef before summer, now’s the time to start planning—we pause shipping once the heat sets in.
