Mommas and Daughters
2025 is a week old and we have had snow every day since 2024. Â I thought Sunday we would get by with some sun, but by evening it was snowing again.Â
Â
Hope this new year is bringing you nice sunny days and dry roads.
Â
Let's a look at the last week here, get a drink and enjoy a 5 minute mini-vacation to the ranch.
Â
Life on the Ranch
We have been feeding everyday here this last week. Â Something we try to avoid, but Mother Nature has decided otherwise. Â And she always wins.Â
Â
In fact today, after the 50 MPH winds yesterday, with a foot of snow, we couldn't get around with the feed truck, had to get out the tractor. Â Here is a picture of last Sunday when I thought we were in for a break.
Â

Â
We brought the heifer pairs home and weaned the calves the day before the big wind.Â
Â
That allowed the calves to be around the barn and some shelter on that windy day. Â And their mothers were right across the corral fence. Â It was warm weaning day and today was too. So we are in for a few loud nights, neither momma or daughter is happy.
Â
The goal of leaving them mothered up till into January was to experience snowstorms out grazing, and they have done that.Â
Welcome to the T Bar J Ranch Roundup
Thanks for signing on with our outfit.
Â
We think of everyone as our friends that we are visiting with each week, catching up. Â If you have anything you want to add or ask about, please yell, call, write or email.
Â
I promise to answer, and we would be glad to hear from you.
Ground Beef Update
Well you may have noticed there was not a Sunday email like I was planning. Â Too much weather, and the cows come first, sorry.
Â
You are a close 2nd. but not 1st.
Â
I do have the Ground Beef bundle links open for business. And we have Ground Beef in stock ready to ship.
Â
I believe UPS is about caught up to it's usual speed after the Christmas Holiday package rush.  We shipped a bundle this week to Minnesota and it is only 1 day longer shipping than we planned.Â
Â
This would be a great place to start eating our nutrient-dense beef and then maybe expand and get an 1/8 or 1/4 for June delivery.
Â
That would give you some steaks ready for bar b q time.
Â
Of course, nothing beats Hamburgers off the grill on a winter day, if your weather cooperates.
Â
Beef offers so much for the calories: in protein, 26 grams per 4 oz serving. Â You get iron for your blood to keep your oxygen flowing around, B vitamins for energy, the protein also builds cells and the zinc will help boost your immune system. Â All you need to enjoy a healthy lifestyle. Â
Â
What a bargain and it tastes so good too! Â If you are looking for a healthy, positive change this year, We recommend starting simple with a 20 or 40 lb ground beef bundle.Â
Â
We need 40# USDA Choice Ground Beef at our House
I want 20# of USDA Choice Ground Beef
Shipping January Shares
We are picking up the January beef next week. Â It has finished it's dry aging and is being packaged. Â We will start delivering and shipping that to folks. Â Most of the freezers are shipped, plugged in and waiting for the beef to show up.
Â
From Our Customers
We had a customer call and leave us a Thank You message:Â
Â
"He said, he just wanted to say thank you very much for all we have done. Â He and his son cooked up some of our beef the night before and it was amazing. Â He said, I appreciate you guys. Â Thank you very much."
        Nathan H.
Â
Nathan got a freezer with his 1/4 beef.
Â
Appreciation
We love building relationships with our customers. Â We want to do all we can to make their beef buying experience the best ever. Â That is the biggest advantage we have over buying beef in a store, next to the taste, treatment of the animals, treatment of the land, knowing where your food comes from.
Â
To that end, our #1 goal this year in to take our customers from 170 where we are today, to 200. Â We feel we can serve that number of families. Â Nourish them with our all-natural beef, it's health benefits, Â and supplying that many families with our high-quality beef.
Â
Behind the scenes there are many smaller goals, but that is our biggest. Â To show our customers how much they mean to us and take care of them.
