Life on the Ranch

We woke up this morning to 5 inches of fresh snow blanketing the ranch.

Looks like our traditional Easter storm came a little early this year. I'm crossing my fingers this counts — and we don't get another round on Sunday!

 

Our little calf (just 10 days old) has already experienced two seasons — spring and winter — all in a matter of days.

Meanwhile, Fritzie, our ranch helper, has "lost" her ball and favorite frisbees again, buried somewhere under the snow.

 

And Dotty the heifer... well, she was standing at the feeder this morning, staring at the snow piling up, clearly wondering, "Really? Again?"

 

A year ago, Dotty was getting her first drink of colostrum from her mama. Today, she’s standing tall at the feeder — and she’s the talker of the bunch, always greeting us with a big “MOO” when we show up.

 

We’re sending an Easter "MOO" to you and your family too — wishing you a weekend full of joy, renewal, and maybe a little sunshine!
